Update a CVE Record

Please follow the instructions below to request updates to CVE Records on the CVE List .

How to Update CVE Records

1. Identify the CNA that published the CVE Record by searching for the CVE Record on the CVE List.
2. Locate the responsible CNA in the “Assigning CNA” field of the CVE Record.
3. Contact the CNA using their preferred contact method to request the update.

How to Request Updates in NVD

To request updates in the U.S. National Vulnerability Database (NVD) , please contact National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) directly at nvd@nist.gov to:

• Request changes to Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) scores.
• Request changes to Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) information.
• Add a “Vendor Comment” about a product to a CVE Record.
