The mission of the CVE^™ Program is to identify, define, and catalog publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities .

Comprised of numerous security-related organizations from around the world, the CVE Board provides critical input through open and collaborative discussions regarding the data sources, product coverage, coverage goals, operating structure, and strategic direction of the CVE Program.
